Filmmaker Mark Manning takes us on this personal journey into the heart of America. In 2001, troubled by the direction his country is heading, he begins a journey across the American political, cultural and geographical landscape to ask his fellow Americans what they believe, and why.
From the fishermen of the great Northwest to the farmers of Kansas, from the preachers of the Deep South to the bankers and stockbrokers of Manhattan, the film looks into American’s souls and into the soul of America itself.
